Shri Piyush Goyal Launched the revolutionary “KASHI IPDS Project monitoring” mobile app, in Varanasi.

April’ 09, 2016 the honorable Union Minister (Energy and Coal) Shri Piyush Goyal performed ground breaking ceremony of underground cabling of wires in the old Kashi area, Varanasi, under Integrated Power Development Scheme project (IPDS). Under this scheme all overhead cabling of wires will be made underground. On the occasion of underground cabling foundation, he also launched the revolutionary and unique “Kashi IPDS Project Monitoring” Mobile application designed by Mobineers Info Systems Pvt Ltd on "AppSavy Platform"..

The Ministry of Power and Coal has sanctioned 432 Crore for the KASHI IPDS project. The scheme includes underground cabling of overhead wires, construction of 2 new 33Kv sub stations, increasing the size of 11 nos in existing substations.

Shri Piyush Goyal said that, this app will enable the citizens to keep track of work progress, details of the plan, proposed timelines, area wise plan, etc.. He also mentioned, “KASHI IPDS project monitoring” application will eliminate the doubt, uncertainty and mistrust among the common people and workers, And dissemination of information will be transparent and clear.
