ICU Data Systems, Inc. has recently released iCuro™, an innovative new patient management system for Intensive Care Units (ICUs). iCuro™ automatically captures minute by minute clinical data from many different data sources including bedside vital sign monitors, ventilators, oxygen monitors, IV infusion pumps, laboratory results and clinical observations. iCuro™, is FDA-cleared and UL-certified and provides real-time cost-effective ICU patient data management solutions from a single point, clinical data information integrated system.
iCuro™ was designed by a team of scientists from the University of Florida (UF) Colleges of Medicine & Engineering. That design and development team created iCuro™ to capture and integrate multidimensional patient data instantly, helping clinicians as they treat critical care patients in ICUs.
iCuro™ displays its patient data in user-customizable formats using a bedside 19" touch-screen monitor to create simultaneous, "zoom-able" graphic trend displays of hours, days, or weeks of data. These trends combine machine generated patient data with clinical observations made by nurses and respiratory therapists, and with information gathered from other hospital information systems. The design creates a "better and faster" overview of many simultaneous clinical variables to help the ICU care teams.
iCuro™ gives bedside practitioners more time to direct attention to personal patient care, because many hours each day previously required for paper charting are saved. |
