Scenario of Power sector in India is very different given issues which are very specific to India like theft and poor infrastructure. Losses faced by the state electricity boards were as high as 60%. As an experiment, Government of India did privatization of few utilities to study the model and to see if the utilities can operate in profitable way while improving the quality of services too. There was a challenging task ahead for private utilities and Mobineers started working with BSES to provide the IT solutions for the task.

For last 6 years, Mobineers have worked very closely with BSES to develop state of art system for utility management as per the needs of Indian Markets. Result is that BSES is one of the most technically advanced utility in and has won several IT awards too. Along with being technically advanced, BSES has also improved the quality of service substantially
